Problem:
It’s a 2020 (70reg) Peugeot Partner 1.5 HDI with Bosch MD1CS003 ECU. The customer has flashed this with an Adblue off solution. He was struggling to get the Adblue light off. Flashed it with Autotuner programmer via bench write was ok. The Adblue light on the dash was flashing.
He has put the backup file back on to do the resets and there’s no communication to the urea ECU with the Topdon Phoenix smart scanner. Also when he tries to go into special functions to activate “replacement of NOx sensors” it fails. He has done battery reset. Pulled the 30A fuse from the engine bay for the Adblue system. Locked it for 10 mins gone back to it and still nothing. The counters still on and the Adblue light is still flashing.
Solution:
Resets are in engine ecu , there is no AdBlue ECU. That’s why no communication.
You need to go to special functions and do system reinitialise after denox system fault.
Differing levels to what certain diagnostic tools can do.
With autel remplacement nox is ok
In ECU special functions – service actions – emission system.
Scan codes, got to special functions -> service actions -> emissions system -> select md1cs003-> reset denox system fault reinitialisation -> read ecu, mod file, flash back on, do reset again pull the 30 amp fuse job done, like a 30 min job at max.
There’s slightly different variations of the MD1CS003, if your diag tester is not going in under the correct version NOX initialisation will fail.
On Autel/Launch/Topdon if it’s still being stubborn on these MD1CS003 change the ECU type to EDC17C60 manual selection then proceed with resets it’ll be fine.
If not working, do it as edc17c60 on your topdon and do system reinitialisation.
User feedback:
Sorted by selecting EDC17 ECU on the Topdon instead of MD1.
