Problem:
Tried to read the 2024 Hyundai Sportage Kefico SIM2K-510 ECU using Flex programmer by OBD.
Flex software says SGW detected and failed to connect via OBD.
No communication on bench (ERROR).
Any solution?
Solution:
This model uses CAN FD communication and Flex detects SGW gateway. You must connect a CAN FD adapter (FLX4.4) for reading.
The FLX4.4 adapter is on preorder now and will be shipped from 19th November, 2026.

Is a CAN FD adapter necessary for this protocol?
Only for vehicles equipped with protected gateway (SGW).
FYI:
You can read ecu on bench by obd protocol but for this need FL4.4 adapter.
