VNCI RNM is a good solution to work with Renault CLIP and ADT to do diagnostics and reprogram modules. We have pointed out that VNCI RNM was tested and is working fine with Renault ADT software in the previous post.
The Alliance Diagnosis Tool (ADT) is used in Renault and Dacia vehicles that were introduced after 2020. These vehicles will have a secure gateway so will need to be unlocked, you may need ADT and the Renault E token to diagnose.
VXDIAG does work over DoIP, but it missing MTS6535 VCI, it is not compatible with ADT. VNCI RNM called MTS6535 very good quality clone, On VCI MTS6535 no other modifications are necessary, works as it is drivers j2534 and CLIP from native DVD.
Here is a rundown on how to set up VNCI RNM with ADT.
Install VNCI App (manager tool) and Bosch driver. (Download them on vnciobd official website.)
Open VNCI device manager, update the VNCI unit, Must update VNCI firmware to 1.0.4.0 and later to use ADT software. Close it, disconnect VNCI from USB and plug in again.
Open Bosch App that was installed and connected to the VNCI and shut it down.
Start the ADT online app.
Register on Renault Asos, get the physical token and activate it, purchase the ADT software and go through the installation process. You need to go into buy abonnement and purchase either a day, week or month duration. When you have done this you will see the subscription status of your e token change after a few minutes from expired to selectable. You will then be able to use ADT for that specific time period. Without this ADT will not work.
Bought ADT software and e-Token. All are activated and installed. Connect VNCI RNM interface with vehicle via OBD socket.
Start the ADT online application and give it time to load it sees the VNCI as PDU API Bosch. ADT shows stable connection.
When starting the ADT it asks for the token password. Input IPN token and password.
Connect VCI and start read vehicle info.
If fails to connect to the vehicle automatically, try inputting VIN manually.
Read fault code.
Data monitor.
