The benefit of modification of the original key ID:
You can write to the new key for Eg. Key.1 =1234. Key 2=5678 You can check the key id of the key you already have and the lost one will be the other. You write the other one to the key . This ensure if taken to the dealer they don’t get wiped after a service as odis has those registered to the car in the database.
