Problem:
Need to add a spare key to a Jaguar F type R V6 dynamic 2018 model. Bought a Genuine OEM key brand new. But Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus shows only vvdi remote can be used for adding keys and all lost key procedure. Can I use the genuine or aftermarket keys with this procedure?
Here is the clue.
You need ID changeable keys only.
Genuine keys cannot have their ID changed.
OEM keys don’t work on the 2018+ as you need to clone the key as kvm is locked.
You could write it staright to KVM with solder method but emergency start won’t work. Best to buy aftermarket changeable id keys as the vvdi, lonsdor and autel ones.

For 2018+ JLR models, do it on bench rather than OBD.
The KVM need to come out and read on bench. It behide the rear passenger seat. not hard to get out, you can take just the pcb out, it easier then trying to take the case out.
