BMW FEM Cloning Left Indicator Short Circuit Solution

Here we share a user’s experience with cloning the BMW FEM module.

Cloned a BMW FEM module with Xhorse vvdi key tool plus and Godiag FEM/BDC test platform on bench. The fault was left indicator didn’t worked.
So finally cloning was done, car starts but same problem. These BMWs when it’s registered short circuit too many times its permanently disable them.

The problem was the module detected short circuit too many times, and because of that it’s disabled the indicator. It prevents from damage of lights.
There is a short circuit reset option on diagnostic, but not working. Reset didn’t worked on two good diagnostics (Launch X431 and Autel), so last idea was to restore the Donor original eeprom, then of course needed to coded everything to start car and now everything work perfectly.

ISTA and tool32 can reset it as well.
