Question:
1). Is it possible clone vd56.1 peugeot ECU with AutoTuner programmer?
2). Anybody cloned 1:1 a continenal vd56.1 ecu with Magic MotorSport Flex boot mode?
Here is the clue.
The VD56.1 ecu has OTP areas so although the data will copy the vehicle will not start. Sometimes engine starts, but gearbox have immo error.
Only option is immo off via emulator for used ecu, Julie emulator works well.
Clone 1:1 not possible. You can make immo off and clone config.
Both AutoTuner and Flex will read/write this ECU in boot mode and do immo off. Both Flex and autotuner will do checksum correction when writing.
Magic Motorsport Flex
This ecu has to have boot unlock. Flex does it without problem. Need opening. We have done immo off on these.
Example:
CITROEN BERLINGO (K9) 1.2 PURETECH VALEO VD56.1.
Put automatic checksum out by institutions of flex. Tool can do checksum by himself. Slave&master tool can do this.
AutoTuner:
Did few VD56.1 ECU immo off with autotuner all work.
For example:
Continental VD56.1 Peugeot 308 1.2l Pure tech in Boot mode. Not ok with autotuner power, but ok with battery power. Perfectly.
Rewrite on it with no problems.
Buy yourself a 10 Ampere laboratory power supply to ensure voltage maintenance while having protection in case of connection error.
Flex does not support some versions of VD56, but autotuner does fine.
Alientech KESS3 also read/write VD56.1 in boot mode:
FYI:
HEXPROG 2 have diagram and can do cloning 1:1
Hexprog2 diagram required to connect can1 and can2, other tools have only can1 and can’t cloning, kess3 and Flex can’t cloning, even after successful read/write to donor ECU no start and loads faults.
