How to Activate Ducati Heated Grips with OBDSTAR iScan Ducati Scanner?

After installation of the accessory heated grips on your Ducati motorcycles it has to be activated. If install the heated grip by yourself, the installation is easy takes like 15 minutes, but the dealer wants an additional $150.00 to activate them.

OBDSTAR iScan Ducati diagnostic scanner will activate heated grips and fog lights, service ligths and many other functions.

It shows the Headed Grips in the menu. Have to search all over for it but it is listed now.

Model example: 2016 Ducati Multistrada 1200

Check how to activate headed grips for this model.

Go to Ducati-latest software version- Select from vehicle- select Multistrada 1200- select model year 2016- Code and Reset function- 2016- Code and Reset List.

Go to Special Function.
Enter password 123 to continue.
Select Heated grips enabling/disabling function.
Choose Enable function and hit Enter to finish activating.
Heated grips have been enabled.

The same procedures go to Motomaster/ MS80/MS50 universal motorcycle scanners.

I updated and tested it today; BBS > Special Function > Optional Configuration has everything listed. I deactivated and reactivated my heated grips successfully, and activated fog lights.
