Tutorial: how to correct VAG MQB RH850 R7F701407 (5A Cluster) odometer using CGDI CG100X programmer.

It’s a VW Tiguan L 2019. 5A cluster. Cluster number: 5NG 920 650C.
First of all, record original mileage. CG100X will show you a wiring diagram (12V (ON) instrument startup diagram) to activate (power on) instrument cluster.
Take a photo of the instrument and the original mileage before disassembling it.
Original mileage: 5000 km
Disassemble cluster carefully
Run CG100X software
Select Europe->VAG MQB->R7F7014xx (Remove Capacitor method)-> R7F701407 (Only 5A cluster)
Verify it is 5A cluster. 5A cluster starts with ‘EM’ on the silkscreen. 5C (starts with ‘PCJ’) is not supported at present.
Check wiring diagram
You will need a CG100X D1 adapter
The D1 adapter is for D70F34xx D70F35xx R7F7014xx RH850 Mileage Repair without Soldering, No Lift Pin.
Connect CG100X, D1 adapter and cluster following the wiring diagram
Don’t forget to give 12V power supply to the device
Start operation
Chip is encrypted. Decrypting chip. Don’t disconnect device during calculation.
Must save original mileage data. It is very important.
Calculate mileage successfully. CG100X has built-in algorithms. Online calculation requires network connection to access CG server.
Check current mileage. Check if the mileage value is correct or has no big difference.
If the mileage is incorrect or has big difference, quit the operation and contact CGDI engineer as soon as possible.
If mileage is correct, enter mileage you desired, i.e 65,454 km
Writing mileage
Mileage correction successfully.
Install instrument cluster.
Check the new mileage
It is fine.
