Galletto 1260 OBDII ECU Flashing sable/software allow you to connect your car to the computer and through the software – dramatically improve car’s performance.
IMPORTANT: Read BEFORE purchase!
Only use Galletto 1260 if you wish to load it’s preloaded optimized car map to your car. If your car model is included, then only get this with intention to upload a predefined optimized map with 1-click of a mouse button. But DO NOT get this if you wish to download the complete ECU data to your computer – because this product can’t do that. Only purpose of Galletto 1260 is to load it’s preloaded optimized map file to your car. That’s it! (Yes you can restore to original status if you don’t like the results).
This Galletto 1260 cable and a laptop computer are all you need to improve the performance of your vehicle dramatically and noticeably.
By reading and writing data to your car’s engine control units (ECU), you can achieve better initial acceleration, more responsiveness with relatively little throttle input in all gears, gains on power and torque throughout the entire rev range, and overall improvements in your vehicle’s brake horsepower (BHP), torque, and power.
Normal petrol engines can achieve up to 15% gains in BHP and up to 20% more torque on the entire rev range.
Petrol turbo engines can achieve up to 30% more BHP, and diesel turbo engines can achieve up to 50% more BHP and 75% more torque.

It is NOT compatible with 64-bit Windows, unless you run it in Windows 7 via XP Mode.
STEP 1: download and install Galletto 1260 software

STEP 2: install Galletto 1260 driver
(Connect cable to USB port on your computer.)
Go to Control Panel.
- Windows Vista/7/8/10: Control Panel » System » Device Manager
- Windows XP: Control Panel » System » “Hardware” tab » Device Manager
Expand “Other devices” or “Ports (COM & LPT)”. Under them you will see either “USB Serial Port” or “EOBD2″ or another different name that only shows up when cable is plugged in.
Whichever it is, right-click on it and choose: Update Driver Software (see below example pic)
Then Browse to the folder where you installed Galletto 1260 in Step 1. (see below example pic)
When you click “Next”, Windows will auto-install all drivers. If it’s successful, then you can connect cable to your car, and connect to car via software.
Galletto 1260 ECU Reading:
1 Make sure your power supply is no problem. Disable other program of your laptop/PC.
2 Run an extension cable down to your car and connect the charger.
3 Remove the fuse box cover beneath the steering wheel.
4 Connect the Galletto 1260 to the vehicle’s diagnostic OBD port and connect USB connector to the laptop.
5 Open “New Serial” program.
6 Turn on the switch by double click until the test light on. Do not start engine. Wait 1o seconds for the lift pump to finish priming.
7 Select vehicle make
8 Select ECU data. The ECU data can be renamed and saved.
9 Turn off the switch and copy the ECU data file to your laptop after finishing ECU reading.
Galletto 1260 ECU Reflashing:
1 Transfer remapped file over to your laptop when your received the file.
2 Check the file size is 512KB and check the file is using the check sum tool available.
3 Make sure the powerful battery and other accessories are removed from your vehicle (e.g remove head unit, turn off the fans, headlights etc)
4 Connect the Galletto 1260 interface to your vehicle diagnostic port and connect USB connector to the laptop/computer. The following step are the same with Ⅱstep 5 to step 8.
5 Click “Open file”, select the new remapped file you are going to load to the ECU.
6 Select download file. Make sure disable other program.
7 Turn off the ignition when the lift pump has stopped after the program prompts.
8 Press OK and wait 10 minutes. Then switch ignition on and follow the instruction.
9 Now start remapping ECU.
Example: Galletto v1260 cable read/write full flash MS43/MS42
- Remove ECU from car.
2. Turn off 4 torx bolts from case and extract mainboard.
- Locate 104 boot pin
4.Short boot pin to GND
5.Put “+12V” and “-” to your black (2 pins) socket connected to galletto 1260 cable
6.Connect K-line from white (2pins) socket to ECU.
7.Connect power to ECU
Note: If you use the K-line pin.
1) L-line no need
2) 12V and GND is direct power source to black (2pin) and to ECU (4/7 and 26)
After 6 Seconds (from power connected) remove wire between 104pin and GND. That’s all. ECU now in bootmode and you can “connect”.
Successfully read and write MS42/MS43 full flash in bootmode with galletto 1260 flasher and JMGerageFlasher software.
- Can I use this cable with software such as _________ that my brother recommended?
Maybe, but we have not tested it with any particular brand of software and can not guarantee performance or compatibility with any particular software package.
- Does this cable let me perform chip tuning?
Technically,”chip tuning” refers to physically replacing ECU ROM. With this cable, you do not have to physically replace or alter any hardware in your vehicle. Simply plug one end of this cable into your vehicle’s OBD port and the other end into your computer. You can now perform ECU flashing on your computer.
- Can I flash all of my ECUs?
Some ECUs can not be flashed with this OBDII connector.
- Do I need to have my engine on to flash my ECUs?
No, you only need to have your ignition on.
- Once I’ve connected this cable to my car, how do I read data from my car’s ECUs?
First turn the ignition on to position 2. Do not turn on the engine. Select the ECU you want to access from a list. Click the read button to access the original data. Save the file to your computer’s hard drive for editing.
- How do I write data to my car’s ECUs?
First turn the ignition on to position 2. Do not turn on the engine. Select the ECU you want to access from a list. Click the write button and follow the instructions on screen. When you are finished, turn off the ignition and wait 10 seconds. That’s it!
- There are a lot of terms I don’t understand, like engine control units (ECUs), brake horsepower (BHP), and flashing. What do they all mean?

- I don’t know anything about cars or ECUs or flashing. Can I use this cable?
Actually, using this cable is so easy that if you can use a computer, you can definitely use it. However you should probably ask your friends or a mechanic for help before you start writing to your cars ECUs. But don’t worry, if you make a backup of your car’s data first, you will be restore your car’s data if you make a mistake later.
- I’m not a professional mechanic, can I still use this cable?
This cable is designed to be user friendly and easy to understand. Do-it-yourself and home fix-it-up type men (and women) should be able to learn how to use this product given you do your research on how to use the product before purchasing it.

Fuel savings with Galletto 1260 tuner on 05/04/2019
I am seeing the results already as my 2008 VW is getting much better gas mileage on the highway. I have tweaked it a couple times. It is a useful tool that will likely pay for itself in fuel savings.
