There are several formats MB Star diagnostic software available in aftermarket, Dell D630 format, IBM T30 format, removable external HDD etc. It is not doubt that internal HDD runs faster than external HDD, since T30 format is out of date, so here Dell format HDD is the first choice. You need at least 120GB and a SSD drive is about 30% faster, if you plan on using a MB Star C3 or a SD Connect C4, you need a serial port. If you use a SD C4 you connect via WIFI or Ethernet to the Multiplexer.
