A: No, Creader VIII is designed with OBDⅡ complaint, it works vehicle from 1996 –up.

Q: Can your creader viii do proton and perodua?
A: Sorry, X431 Creader VIII can not supprt proton and perodua. If you want to do proton and perodua, recommend you Launch X431 V or Launch X431 V+.

A: Sorry, X431 Creader VIII can not support Indian cars, you can consider X431 V+.
Q: Can this work On General Export Market vehicles out of Japan……such as Mitsubishis, Hondas and Nissans?
A: Yes, it works in any export, Japan, GM export etc
Q: Can Creader 8 do a diagnostic on a 2007 jeep?
A: Yes and it will do perfect well.
Q: Hi, if this product will work on a Toyota Hilux or if it would work on vehicles in the Caribbean?
A: NO, it cannot.
Q: Is this scanner JOBD (Vehicles sold in Japan) compliant?
A: I have been working on Toyota without problem but with Nissan Pathfinder 2008 it does not read the codes.
About Language:
Q: Can a change the software of my creader 8 to Portuguese?
A: Sorry, X431 Creader VII+ can not support Portuguese language.
Q: When I can get the multi-language?
A: At first, please register on Launch website and then download the software you need, then please go to the device setting, you can change to the language you want.
LAUNCH X431 Creader VII+ Language: English, Spanish, French, Chinese, German, Italian and Russian.
About Function:
Q: Is it working for bmw air bag light? Does it need another cable for bmw E36 airbag?
A: It does work on the e46. No other cable needed. Not sure about e36. It should work if its ob2 vehicle. If there is no airbag reset option means it does not support air bag reset.
Q: Does the creader VIII read body control module codes?
A: No，it can not read body control unit codes.
Q: Does it read air/fuel ratio or maf or iac readings on a 1996 camaro z28?
A: Yes it does.
Q: Can X431 CRP129 do a brake bleed on gm vehicules and read abs sensor wheel by wheel?
A: As far as reading sensor in/ output per wheel yes it will. But when it comes to bidirectional abs (procedures) for bleeding the system it’s on a vehicle by vehicle bases so I can’t say.
Q: After using the device to diagnose a car, the CODE given for a particular problem,does this device give you a description for that error CODE ?
A: It will give you the code and what the code means. This scan tool will also allow you to read some voltages coming off of certain sensors. Great scan tool and equivalent to a much more expensive tool.
Q: Does it reset the service light on Porsche?
A: NO, it cannot reset service light.
Q; Does CRP129 Support ABS and Transmission modules?
A: Yes it supports ABS and Trans modules on some domestic and import vehicles. It is pretty decent on European stuff.

A: NO, it cannot.
Q: Can X431 Creader VIII CRP129 program Injector?
A: No, it cannot.
Q: Ｉf the creader viii support VIN number reading?
A: It depends on whether your car ecu has opened this function.

Q: What is the difference between Launch X431 Creader VIII black and Launch CRP129 red?
A: 1. CRP129 and X431 Creader have same working function, but CRP129 is only sold in foreign market, in China only has X431 Creader VIII.
2. X431 Creader VIII has black outlook, while CRP129 is red.
Q: Is this a genuine tool from LAUNCH or is this a china import?
A: Launch is actually a Chinese company with all its factories in Shenzhen, China. So technically, it is 100% original launch product.
About operation:
Q: I could not find any register code inside the package, and the password for my account also not worked, can you give me the correct password?
A: Pls find the register code under the HELP menu inside X431 Creader VIII unit.
Q: What’s the dealer code?
A: The dealer code is 86A, and “A” must be capital letter.
Q: Do you need a computer for this scanner or dose it show the display on the scanner?
A: The scanner doesn’t come programmed, a computer is needed to download data to the flash card, after inserting the card, the scanner works as a hand held device, but it won’t power up until connected to the port on the car.

Q: Is this reader battery operated? If so, is the battery replaceable, and what type? Or is it a built in fixed rechargeable battery?
A: If there is one its internal. Plug it into vehicle and it turns itself on.
Q: How to run the Android Update version…and is it possible to update the launch X431 even though i don’t have the product code?
A: Pls kindly note, X431 Creader VIII can not work with Android device. As long as you have registered your X431 Creader VIII, you do not need to register it again, just need to log into your CC account to update the software.
About update
Q: How and where do I get update?And is there any manual ?
A: here is the instruction for update the tool
1 Log-in www.dbscar.com
2 Enter product instruction and choose Creader VII+/Creader VIII
3 Then you may need to input the serial number and registration password
4 Please follow the instruction (step5-8) to find out the password in the machine
5 Please insert the SD card into the TF card reader and connect the TF card reader to the laptop
6 Download all the software to the SD card
7 Insert the TF card into creader viii and connect the creader viii to the laptop via USB port again
8 Click ‘ok ‘ button on the screen, then update finished. If you still have problem update the device, feel free to contact us.
Q: I have a launch creader VIII machine, I lost the memory card, I’d like to get the software again, I already have a new memory card but I don’t know how to get the files to run it again, please tell me what can I do to get files back.

Q: If this product is genuine, can you do updates from the Launch USA website instead of using the third party website?
A: No, it must updated directed from the china website after it is registered. Because Launch USA does not sell the creader 8 in the states, Its variant is the CRP129 sold in the states instead. They are the same machine just different names. It works great!
Q: Hi i just got the scanner and just register on dbscar.com but when i try to register product is asking for a password. Where do i get the password?
