Keydiy KD-X4 has recently updated the NXP NCF29Ax smart key copying function. Here, we will demonstrate how to copy a 2021 Haval H6 smart key using KD-X4.
Chip type: ID47
Original key type: NXP29A1
Tools used:
Keydiy KD-X4 key programmer
Keydiy NCF29xx adapter (#13 adapter)
Original smart key
A hot gun
Anti-static tweezer
Advantages of this method:
- The key copied KD smart key features smart functions.
- If the original vehicle has door handle sensor (keyless entry), the key will still detect and unlock via proximity.
- For some vehicles that require a security code for pairing, this method is cost-effective.
Disadvantages:
- The C29 key has no remote control buttons.
Procedure:
Disassemble the original smart key shell and take out the circuit board.
Locate NXP29xx processor chip. Here it is NXP29A1 chip.
Desolder the NXP29A1 chip.
Solder the NXP chip onto the Keydiy NCF29xx adapter with a hot gun.
Connect the NCF29XX adapter with KD-X4 main unit.
In KD app, go to Remote Function-Smart Key Clone- Universal smart key synchronization.
Check the wiring diagram, here we use KD NCF29xx adapter without soldering wires.
Select Read Chip data.
Read original key chip data.
Enter vehicle model, year and FCCID to save key chip data.
Write smart and proximity sensor to the new KD key.
Connect the KD C29A71 key circuit board with KD-X4 using the 6 pin programming cable.
Generate proximity key successfully.
Then install the KD circuit board with key shell.
Reinstall the key chip back onto the original key circuit board. Install the original key shell.
Don’t need to program key in car afterwards.
Test both keys.
The new key is ready to use.
Done.
