OBDSTAR X300 Classic G3 yellow, blue or G3 green for USA, which is better?
Here is the clue.
G3 Yellow: Global version provided by online dealers.
G3 Green: Global version for offline distributors.
G3 Blue: USA version for American users.
IMMO function is the same between the orange and green. However the blue one is the USA version and does have different software.
They all have the same immo coverage with the exception of motorcycle basic USA version, which does not include motorcycle immo.
The blue one does not offer motorcycle key programming function.
Generally, the blue standard version has less functions and it is cheaper. G3 blue focuses on Japanese and American cars.
G3 yellow, green and blue all allow the buyer to upgrade features when they want. You can upgrade to the pro or the full when you decide you want the upgraded features.
The green one won’t be discontinued as it is for different markets.
Additionally, some versions, such as the custom green version for Brazil, support local Brazilian vehicle models, while other versions of the G3 do not.
Note: G3 Blue is not a custom version for US distributors, but a US version specifically released by OBDSTAR.
