Problem:
Had issues reading a Continental SID209 ECU with Autotuner programmer in boot mode (2016 Ford Ranger 3.2). Autotuner tells me to test with 13V adapter – but that doesn’t solve the issue. The ECU is locked from a previous tuner. Any solution?
Solution:
Patched by other tool.
Two solutions:
1.Flash to stock with Forscan software.
If you have paid license before April, then ecu update function still works.
Update firmware with Forscan and go again.
2. Read ECU in boot mode with Flex or cheaper devices.
Foxflash or kt200 boot read many times when another tool locks, it’s not difficult open and read in boot.
It won’t be locked by previous tuner it’ll be patched by another tool.
