OBDSTAR DC706 ECM V31.00 software updated Hyundai Siemens/Continental SIM2K-140/SIM1K-141 MPC561/562 MAPS reading and writing function.
Here we will show how to read and write SIM2K-140 MAPS with DC706. Same procedure goes to SIM2K-141. The MAPS data can generally be used for functions such as IMMO Off and power tuning.
What’s need:
OBDSTAR DC706
SIM2K-240 TCU
P004 adapter
Extra power supply
Procedure:
Update ECM software to V31.00 or later version.
Go to ECM V31.00.
Quick search SIM2K-240 ECU.
Check instructions and wiring diagram.
Make sure ECU appearance is the same in the wiring diagram.
Connect DC706 with SIM2K 240 ECM follow the wiring diagram, connect extra power supply.
In DC706, select Bench mode with P004 adapter.
Press Connect.
Switch ignition off
Switch ignition on
Now it connects with ECM.
Read and save MAPS data
Read and save INT flash data.
Then we write MAPS.
When writing the MAPS data, there is a CS icon in the upper right corner of the options, after the MAPS data is modified and written to the ECM, the device will prompt whether to write
the original file or the checked file. If you choose to write the checked file, the device will automatically correct checksum, then regenerate a checked filebefore wrtiing it to the ECU.
Select Write MAPS. Load external data and upload MAPS data read in step 1.
Press Yes to verify data. OBDSTAR DC706 will correct checksum automatically.
Write MAPS successfully.
Disconnect.
