Tutorial: how to activate/enter Tesla Service Mode using CGDI CG70 airbag reset device.
Model example: 2024 Tesla Mode 3.
Connect CG70 with computer.
Select Tesla- Service Mode function.
Click ‘Read Device Mode’ to check whether the device is currently in Tesla Service Mode or Normal Mode.
It is in normal mode.
Hit “Switch Service Mode”.
Click ‘Switch to Service Mode’ to configure the device for Tesla Service Mode.
Check the corresponding connection diagram.
The service mode connector is in the front passenger side.
Remove the side panel, the center console armrest, and the sill trim.
This is the service mode connector of a Tesla.
Connect the CAN H and CAN L wires from the CG70 adapter to the service mode connector.
When the device is in Service Mode, there is no need for a USB connection. Simply connect it to a 12V power source and correctly connect the CAN H and CAN L wires to the vehicle’s diagnostic port as shown in the wiring diagram. This will allow you to enter the vehicle’s Service Mode.
Then, supply 12V power to the CG70.
It has now been switched to service mode.
If need to switch to normal mode. Hit “Switch Normal Mode” in CG70 software and disconnect CG70 adapter.
