1.Launch X431 ECU & TCU Programmer:
Launch X-prog3 PC software can do VGS4NAG2 in boot.
Functionality:
Supports resetting/virginizing the VGS4 NAG2 gearbox by reading, writing, personalizing, and erasing TCU data. The process involves reading EEPROM data from the original TCU in BENCH mode, renew/virgin a used TCU in both BENCH and BOOT modes, and writing the original data to the used TCU for personalization.
Supported VSG4TCM type: VGS4-0-NAG2, VGS4-500-NAG2
Supported Devices:
Launch X431 ECU/TCU Programmer, X-Prog3 with PC Adapter
NOTE: Only X-prog3 PC software can renew VGS4 NAG2. Launch X431 tablets don’t have VGS4 functionality.

Process:
Connect to the TCU, read original data, erase the used TCU, personalize with original EEPROM data, and program/adapt using MB Star Diagnosis.

2.OBDSTAR X300 Classic G3/DC706:
OBDStar just released an update for the DC706 and the G3 to be able to do this.
Functionality:
Enables virginizing and data transfer for VGS4-0-NAG2 TCUs, particularly for used units. It supports reading/writing data in BENCH or OBD mode for original TCUs and JTAG mode for used TCUs, requiring drilling for access.
Supported Models:
Common in Mercedes S-Class W222, E-Class W205, and GLC 2166 (2014 onwards).
Supported VGS4 Type: VGS4-0-NAG2
Required Tools: OBDSTAR X300 Classic G3 (with ECU Flasher license) or DC706 Full, MP001 Programmer, C4-07 Adapter Kit, TCM-012 Benz VGS Adapter, power supply, and drilling tools.
Process:
Use the C4-07 kit to drill and access the TCU, read original data, erase the used TCU (including VIN), and transfer data. After virginizing, adapt or program the TCU to the vehicle using an MB Star diagnostic scanner.

3. AVDI Abrites Programmer
Abrites ABPROG Programmer with MN035 License:
Functionality:
Virgin VGS4 NAG2 gearbox TCU and adapt with abrites in boot.
Supported VGS4 TCU Type: VGS4-0-NAG2
Process:
Read FBS4 data from VGS4-NAG2 modules with the help of ABPROG
Set VGS4-NAG2 modules to virgin state using ABPROG
Write FBS4 personalization data to the TCU using ABPROG. Writing is also available via the internal CAN bus for owners of MN034.
Advantages:100% will work on FBS4 DME and EGS.
Limitation:
Requires the ABPROG programmer and MN035 license, AVDI with active annual subscription, and the MN035 license are required to use the full functionality of this set. which is way more expensive than Launch or OBDSTAR tools.

4.CG FC200
CG FC200 now supports Mercedes Benz FBS4 VGS4 gearbox TCU data transfer (cloning) on bench mode.

5. Yanhua ACDP module 46
Yanhua ACDP released module 46 for Benz VGS4-0-NAG2 gearbox TCU virgin/data transfer.
Module Function:
Supports MB VGS4-0-NAG2(4-4) TCU virginizing and personalizing data transfer, thus enabling the TCU replacement.
Module Features:
Integrates the functions of reading coding, virginizing/transferring data, programming, and writing coding. No need to use any third-party devices to program and code. The TCU after data transfer can be directly installed and working.
6.Autel MaxiIM IM508/IM608
Autel MaxiIM IM508S and IM608 II series released a big TCU software in June 2026.
Supports cloning for the following 8 TCUs for Benz:
FSB4 VGS4-0-NAG2 cloning via Bench mode;
FSB4 VGS4-500-NAG2 cloning via Boot mode;
