CGDI MB adds W205 W447 (V850E) dashboard mileage repair function since software version 2.9.5.0. Here’s the tutorial to change W205 FBS4 mileage (in dash but not in EIS) using Software Filter Version solution (without CAN Filter).
Device required:
CGDI Prog MB
Software filter license for FBS4
W205 mileage repair adapter
Procedure:
Check: CGDI MB Supported FBS4 type list to confirm before an operation
Set up bench connection
In CGDI MB software, select Mileage Repair-> FBS4 Mileage repair-Software Filter Version (-2018)
Follow steps below to restore mileage:
1. Read mileage information. Get dashboard number and mileage, gateway number, EIS mileage
2. The writing process varies depending on the Dashboard type, Write process is to modify the dashboard mileage

Steps to install software filter:
1.)Read configuration files by OBD
2.)Remove the cluster from car and connect 12V power to the CGDI MB device, please
do not supply power to the outside of the meter.
Connect the mileage repair adapter and cluster, then click “Prepare Flash”
Select the configuration file saved in step 1.
3.) Put the instrument back to the car or platform, check the OBD connection, and click
to write the configuration file
4.) Write Mileage by OBD
5.) Learning mileage to EIS by OBD
6.) Clear the fault code by OBD, power on cluster again if the mileage has not changed.
Step-by-step instruction:
Read configuration file
Read configuration file success
Check W205 W447 install software filter wiring diagram
Remove cluster, connect 12 power to CGDI MB, connect the mileage repaire adapter and cluster
Upload configuration file saved in step 1
programming chip, this process takes about 3 minutes
Connect CGDI Prog MB with instrument, check the OBD connection
Press Write configuration file
Turn on ignition switch
Select the configuration file saved in step 1.
Writing configuration file until success
Manually enter mileage you desired to change, i.e 8888 km and press Write Mileage
This operation takes a long time, connect the power supply or start the car in advance.
The dashboard mileage has been reset.
Done.
