Customer question:
I will mostly use the EngineDance X5 heavy duty scanner for diagnostics. When possible I will use engine diagnostic port like on this Deutz engine. I will monitor the engine operation while the engine is running and the ECU already has 12V. Can I connect only CANH and CANL ?
Here is the clue.
No additional power supply is required.
It does not have dedicated Deutz engine connectors.
Simply connect the four wires to the jumper box: GND, 24V/T15, CAN-L, CAN-H.
Check the pinout below:
Follow the pinouts above to connect jumper wires with jumper box (red VCI) and Deutz engine diagnostic connector.
Then run EngineDance diagnostic software to troubleshoot Deutz engines.
