Problem:
Programmed all keys lost on Bwm X1 on OBD by using Autel IM508S. The key is locked and unlock but it only turns the car on & cranks no start. IM508S gave 00A102 Tamper fault code.
Here is the clue.
The CAS 00A102 error indicates an immobilizer anti-tampering protection issue, often related to the Car Access System (CAS) and the Engine Control Unit (ECU). This problem can result in the vehicle being unable to start and is frequently linked to synchronization failures between the CAS and DME modules. It can occur after a battery disconnect or change, or if there are hardware faults in the system.
Tamper fault – need to sync DDE/DME with CAS. You should be able to do this with ISTA but might need to flash it with ESYS.
Sync CAS to steering lo,ck then sync CAS to DME and car should start.
You have EWS Tampering error. The start value of the CAS and DDE/DME need to be matched.
You can try CAS/DDE synch using Ista or other BMW diagnostic tool, but it’s unlikely to work after CAS3. You’ll need to check the EWS version of the CAS. EWS4 onwards probably won’t synchronise.
Most likely the DDE will need flashed to the latest istap.
