Problem:
It’s a 2013 Mazda Cx5. Added one smart key with a generated Xhorse xm38 key. It can start the car but the lock and unlock doesn’t work anymore even with old key ! Any reason or solution?
Here are the possible solutions:
1. Press Old Key to Start Button and step on brake. Hold both start and brake to start and wait for 5 seconds then turn off. Repeat for each programmed key. If the procedure is not done after a key programming, assume that smart functions won’t work.
2. Remove battery cable and put it back. This happens a lot.
3. Discomnect negative for 5 minutes. It will work.
4. Wrong button configuration settings. Configure button again.
FYI:
Better use genuine ones for Mazda, aftermarket keys sometimes have bad results.
