Volvo CEM 2018-2021 proximity all keys lost requires a security password to proceed, how to get the password?
Here we show how to read CEM 0N78S immo data and pull password with OBDSTAR X300 Classic G3.
The battery needs to be disconnected before removing the CEM module. Then remove CEM module and locate chip.
Volvo XC40 2018-2021 comes with SPC5748G 0N78S chip.
In G3 go to Volvo-> XC40-> Proximity-> CEM 2018-2021-> SPC5748G 0N78S
G3 will also read CEM SPC5747G (1N81M) and SC667320 (0N32E).
OBDSTAR G3 will show you instructions and wiring diagram. Read them carefully.
We need to weld a wiring cable to CEM module following the wiring diagram. Then connect the wiring cable to C4-01 board.
The wiring length should not exceed 20cm, the shorter the better.
Connect wiring cable with C4-01 board, then connect C4-01 board to MP001 programmer. Power on MP001.
After set up connection. Press Connect.
Then read and save CEM immo data.
Press the Security password function.
Read password from immo data successfully.
Now you can program smart key using the pin code.
