A KT200 user reported that he cannot read Kia Sorento edc17cp14 tc1796 on bench. Here’s the solution.
Solution:
You cant do this ecu in bench you need to to in boot.
Autotuner or flex can’t read this ecu in bench mode either. Only boot.
Edc17cp14 Hyundai/Kia work perfect first step you need to get password from OBD, second step in boot mode before read or write you need to select password file.

Step 1: Read and Write ECU
Connect with the multifunction cable the following
pinout and the boot shown below.
Use the driver:
→ TOOLS BOOT MODE
→ INFINEON TRICORE Boot
→ SAK TC1796
RED: + 12V 3
BLACK: GROUND 1
GREEN: IGNITION 87
BLUE: CAN-H 68
ORANGE: CAN-L 67
If the password error message appears at the beginning of the reading, proceed as follows:
Step 2: Password search
Disable the boot mode by unsoldering the gray wire. Connect the pinout below.
Use the driver:
→ TOOLS BOOT MODE
→ INFINEON TRICORE Tool Password
→ OBD PASSWORD TPROT V11 KIA – HYUNDAI
→ Click on “Find Password” and follow the software messages.
Now that the password has been found it’s possible to read and write the control unit as described in STEP 1.
