Used Xhorse Mini Prog, Key Tool Max and Toyota 4D (ID67, 68, 70) key to add 2 keys.
Car model and year: 2003-2007 Toyota Sequoia
Chip: 4D -67
Key: TOY44D (DOT)
ECU chip: 93LC66A (8 PIN DIP)
I purchased my Xhorse Mini Prog, it came with three adapters, you can also read and right from this type of weight, you just have to remove the chip from the circuit board, and with Mini Prog adapter it’s just plug and play, you don’t have to solder anything on here.
If the chip is a little different, it does give you option where you can solder it, but so far the dip socket works with a microchip.
Little legs, just stick in there just gotta be careful when you’re taking it out because you might bend the little legs.
We can just use the adapter non soldering.
And look at it really close there’s usually a little mark in it, it’s really hard for you to see but it’s like marked like someone scratched it, that’s gonna tell you what pin number one is that.
I ended up marking mine with a marker, so I can see it better because you can see and that’s where pin number one to be you want to know number one.
So pin number one, a little dot, that’s where number one starts from.
Alright, just a warding the first time I ever read it I saved it on there I was able to save it, but then when I tried to read it again, the microchip was cleared, so somehow it’s clearing in it and it’s erasing everything off of it, the second time you try to read it, it would be really really careful, Xhorse Mini Prog is not a beginner’s program or case for advance users.
We’re gonna go ahead and turn on our mini prog.
Part 1. Read and save data.
We’re gonna connect to our Mini Prog first, and then go to “EEROM and Flash”.
We’re gonna go to Microchip 93LC66A (8PIN).
We’re going to use the “Pressure” adapter, most usually want to set up the northern pursuer.
Our light is right here, we’re gonna go ahead “Read” and read a chip “eeprom” telling us clean it up, okay we’ve cleaned it up already.
You’re ready to start right now it’s connected to PIN, okay right now it’s loading it’s connecting to it, once it’s done,
To push the “start” button on Mini Key Tool Max.
Nice guys, we got a good reading.
We’re gonna go ahead and check this box so that we can edit and look at it.
I’m going to press OK, so let’s press OK so we can open up the data and the files you can see, we have all our information here all the data, we’re gonna go ahead and save it again for the second time.
Okay, just to have a backup file, you guys can change the names, if you want you could just save it, so right now it’s safe down there okay, we’re gonna go back to VVDI Key Tool Max.
Part 2. Write key via DUMP (Making dealer key) using VVDI Key Tool Max
We’re gonna go to “Special Functions” -> “Immo Data Tool”-> Asia -> “Toyota” -> Sequoia ->Immobox 2005-93C66 -> Tiris 4D (ID67, 68, 70) -> Start execution
okay we save two we say one up here one down here, we’re gonna go to the mini prog, almost hit a mini Prog and now we’re going to open this file that is a file that we saved for our chip.
We’re going to open that up and then we’re gonna go to key number one we’re gonna do two keys, you can see we have our aftermarket key, okay recommends you to have an OEM keys when you’re doing this, okay have the OEM keys, it was also given us an option where we can put in the xhorse super chip but that option isn’t working for us, okay I don’t know why it’s not working, but it tells you to put the super chip in and it’ll just set the key okay the position of the key for you so we’re going to select a 4D (ID67, 68, 70) down here.
We’re gonna do our first key by puting one key into the coil of key tool max and press OK.
Prepare dealer key success, it can start engine after right back.
Part 3. do a second key
We’re gonna get our second key and put it into the coil of Key Tool Max and we’re gonna press “Prepare dealer key”, we actually selected the super chip option but we’re gonna do down, the super chip is not working really good. So I can just use your other key, let’s put in our 4D (ID67, 68, 70).
Let’s prepare our second key, we’re gonna do this one down here, we’re going to press OK, prepare dealer key success, you can start the engine after right back.
So now it’s telling us that we need to arrive back a file OK, now we have two files saved on here.
Alright, this one has a date on here and everything okay, so just know when it was written a little bit after as you can see 3:33:44, we’re going to press OK.
Part 4. Writing back data to chip
And then we gotta write back the info to the chip to the microchip, so this is what we’re gonna do okay, we’re gonna go back, we’re gonna go back to Mini Prog Pen meu. We’re gonna go back to “Microchip 93LC668”, then “Pressure”, then “Write”, then “EEPROM”, then “Start operation”, it pops up “Select write file”, then “Local file”, then “Mini_Prog” folder (This was the last file that we used)
We’re gonna start operation, VVDI Mini Prog is connecting right now.
On VVDI Key Tool Max, we’re going to select our device.
we’re gonna write back to the chip, and you only write once, okay don’t do it again because you might erase the data and that’s an issue that I’m having right now okay with this VVDI Mini Prog, just do it once don’t do it twice, and then we’re gonna press the button on the back here.
Okay you can see successfully wrote the data, everything’s written down. Please note: so just be really careful, okay don’t go ahead and read it again it’s it’s written down all you gotta do is put back the immo ECU, just cut your keys and you’re able to start okay.
