Problem:
The Launch X431 PAD VII‘s Smartlink C V2 VCI is damaged and was replaced with a new VCI, but when using it, it shows “The remote diagnostic function is not activated or has expired.”
Solution:
When using the Launch PAD 7, you do not need to connect the Smartlink VCI to the internet. If the VCI is connected to the internet, this error will appear. The remote diagnostic function needs to be activated.
If you need to perform normal diagnostic functions, you only need to connect the Launch X431 tablet to the internet.
