Autel MaxiIM IM508S & IM608 II series has released a new feature: disable active alarm for 2018+ Jaguar Land rover models when all smart keys lost.
Model: Range Rover Evoque 2023
RFA module: M9R3
Procedure:
Go to Manual selection- Range Rover Evoque- 2022 to 2024- Smart Key
Select Control Unit.
Select RFA replacement.
Select Disable anti-theft alarm function.
This function is used to disable the active alarm and requires the use of jumper wires to connect the vehicle’s OBDII connector, the device VCI, and the RFA module connector harness.
Hit Yes and Autel will show the wiring diagram and instructions to connect the jumper wires.
You can use Autel’s dedicated JLR alarm bypass cable (coming soon) or build your own cable according to the diagram.
RFA Module Location Reference: Under driver’s seat, behind rear seatback, behind left/right trunk side trim, etc.
CAN Wiring (Typical): CAN-H (Pin 6) → Yellow/Orange; CAN-L (Pin 14) → Yellow/Purple.
Note: Wire colors may vary on some modules—CAN-H (Pin 6) may be Green; CAN-L (Pin 14) may be Brown.
Follow the diagram to connect jumper wires.
Hit Yes to communicate with the vehicle.
Disable alarm successfully.
The alarm status has been disabled. We will now begin programming the keys.
Remove the RFA module. The RFA module type here is M9R3.
This vehicle is equipped with UWB (Ultra-Wideband). We need to replace the RFA module or the chip (with a brand new blank SPC560 chip).
After replacing the chip, we use the XP400 PRO to write the initialization data.
Once the initialization data is written, reinstall the RFA module into the vehicle.
Perform the RFA/KVM module programming function.
During programming, pay attention to the voltage—it must not be too low. Low voltage can cause programming failure. It is best to connect a voltage stabilizer.
Wait for the RFA module programming to complete successfully.
Wait 45 seconds to sync the module.
Finally, follow the device prompts to program the key.
