Problem:
Tried to read Volvo V50 D2 engine SID807EVo ECU with Autotuner but it said “this version is not supported via OBD/Bench.”
Tried bench, no luck.
Any ideas on why this problem is with every Volvo V50/S40/C30/C70 with D2 engine?
Solution:
The first of this evo is not password protected. That’s why it fails on these.
Some first versions of V50 with sid807evo not supported, only boot mode is possible to do.
Same with the first in v70. Tools are looking for password and fail. And no tool developer has done anything about it. It regard all brands with this ecu in 2010 and early 2011.
If no password, only boot.
Only boot on these. You have to do boot with Citroen protocol. It needs to be treated like a PSA. Citroen or Peugeot protocol.
