How to Read Nissan Rogue Sentra AKL 28-Digit PIN with Autel IM608 APB131

Here comes a problem:

When trying to program Nissan Sentra 2021 all smart keys lost using Autel IM608, it asks for a 28-digit pin code. Hooked up the Nissan BCM40 gateway connector, no luck, it stills ask for pin code.

Here is the clue. The Lonsdor/OBDSTAR BCM40 cable is not compatible with Autel IM508/IM608.

This car can obtain the 28-digit PIN code from the dump from the hands-free module above the glove compartment.
You will need to purchase the Autel APB131 it’s a special adapter for the MQB and the hands-free module for Nissan.
The hands free module in the Sentra/Rogue requires the removal of the dashboard. Remove some resistors and soldiers some wires and you can read the data loaded and the code the pin then you can go to key learning and enter the 28-digit PIN code from hot functions not through the immobilizer menu.

APB131 will read pin from dump for following Nissan models:

Sylphy/Sentra(B18) 2022-, X-TRAIL/Rogue(T33) 2021-, QASHQAI(J12) 2024- , Juke(F16) 2012-, Note e-POWER(HE13) 2020-, Sylphy(B18) 2019-2021, Juke(F16) 2019-2021, Pathfinder(R53) 2022-2023

Here is an example of getting the pin code for a 2024 Nissan Rogue using IM508 XP400 and APB131. The HFM is much easier to remove in the Rogue. The Sentra is much more difficult to remove the HFM.

Remove hands-free module HFM above the glove compartment.

Go to Manual Selection->Rogue->2020- T33->Control Unit -> Read PIN via Dump
Select chip R7F7010253 or RF77010193

Read operation guide and wiring connection with APB131

Then connect the HFM module with APB131 adapter follow the wiring diagram

Select chip R7F7010253 and read HFM data. The procedure takes about 2-20 minutes.

Read 28-digit pin code successfully.

Then reinstall HFM module back to vehicle.

Go to Hot function

Turn on the emergency indicator.

Open and close driver door once.
If the ignition switch cannot be turned on, press OK to continue.

Select All keys lost (guided)

Perform 5 steps below to program key.

Place the key near ignition switch

1. Function initialization

2. Get VIN

3.Get key ID

Start to read key ID.
Place the 1st smart key tag upwards on the ignition switch and put the tag side on the switch.

Place the 2nd smart key tag upwards on the ignition switch and put the tag side on the switch.
All the learning keys ID need to be read. 2 new keys can be learned at most, maximum 4 keys in total.
