Aim to show how to use Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus to read Land Rover’s KVM module data, as well as how to transfer and call the data between Key Tool Plus and desktop/laptop.
Part 1. Use Key Tool Plus to read Land Rover’s KVM module data.
- Decrypted the Land Rover KVM.
Enter “Prog” -> “IMMO” ->”Land Rover” -> Encrypted -> More functions -> Decrypted (we need to unlock first), click OK -> Start -> Continue.
Detect pin.
Try to unlock: expand the log, the encrypted byte is FC, alright unlock succeed.
- Start to read the data.
Back to enter ” RFA encrypted (MC9S12XEQ384)”
Click “Read”.
1) Read the D-flash first: click “start” -> continue, save the file, we save the file name as October 30, 2020, click “OK”, confirm there is D-flash data.
2) Back to start reading EEE: Click “Start” -> “Continue”, confirm and save.
3) Back to start reading the P-flash again: Click “Start” -> “Continue” (so you don’t need to use an air gun to weld to break something like Crystal oscillator.) , read the data until it succeeds, and then enter P-flash to save.
- Write new data.
Start writing the new data after all the data is successfully read.
Part 2. The data transfer and call between VVDI Key Tool Plus Pad and desktop/laptop.
Let me introduce you how to transfer /call the data between Key Tool Plus and one desktop/laptop.
Scene 1. If we want to transfer the data from Key Tool Plus to one desktop or laptop, we can do this:
First, open a browser and enter http://i.xhorse.com/ . After the web page is open, you will see a QR code. Next, we go to Key Tool Plus, tap “Prog” option, then “Data Edition”, then “Scan QR code to login” at the right corner. Hold the tablet and scan the QR code on the computer. After scanning, tap “confirm the login”.
We enter the local file on Key Tool Plus (the file stored in Key Tool Plus). For example, if we want to upload this file (the file on September 30, 2020 at 11:46), click on the “Upload” option, then click on “upload here” (upload to our cloud folder). Just upload the Land Rover data we just read (D-Flash, P-flash, EEE) one by one.
After the upload is successful, we refresh it on the computer, and we can see that there are 3 folders (D-Flash, P-flash, EEE).
If we want to call the data to the desktop, just tick off them, and then click “Download”, then you will see the folder on the desktop.
Scene 2. Similarly, if we want to upload the data on the desktop to our Key Tool Plus to call each other, we can also do this. For example, if there is a data on the desktop, we can rename it arbitrarily d call it “AAAAA”.
Then we open http://i.xhorse.com/ , click on the “File upload” option on the webpage, we find the “AAAAA” file on the desktop to open it, and it will display the file upload progress. OK, this shows that it has been uploaded to the network disk.
Let’s take a look again in Key Tool Plus: Go to “My Data” (Cloud Data), you can see that our “AAAAA” is already in the cloud disk. If we want to call it in Key Tool Plus, there will be “download” option, click on it until succeed. it will be in the local file.
If we want to write startup or call data on the device into Key Tool Plus, we can freely transfer the data with the help of a Cloud disk, and it is very convenient to use.
