Confirmed: Autel MaxiIM IM608 can program key for BMW CAS4 CAS4+ via OBD instead of dismantling the ECU box. Note: the network connection is required during operation.
BMW F30 key programming for example:
Notes: For CAS4, Add key all key lost procedure is the same, no need to get ISN; For Cas4+ all key lost, go to ISN code management to try to read Engine ISN code first, if it is not supported, you need to get ISN code through other way.
– The other steps are as the same as add key. To check the type of CAS system, go to “ECU information” to check.
Procedure:
Plug Autel IM608 into the OBD2 port of BMW, tap “BMW”.
Smart selection.
Mini(Europe)->smart mode
Key learning -> OK (to confirm vehicle information) -> OBD learning -> OK (after reading a few instructions here)
