Problem:
Making a spare proximity key for Mercedes Benz W221 using Xhorse VVDI MB tool.
But can’t get the Xhorse Smart Key (keyless go) to work with start/stop button. Works if I turn in EIS.
Tried different key tracks and all set to v041.
Also tried another new key. The original key works.
Solution:
Xhorse keyless key is not working on this car.
Xhorse doesn’t support before 09.
If car 2009 2008 doesn’t support vvdi mb smart key.
It just work on 2010 and up. Before 2009, keyless key is not available; only after 2010, w164, w166.
Only the original 08 key or CGDI 08 key will work.
cgdi ones they work better for this model.
You don’t have to use CGDI MB to program the Mercedes cgdi fobs. Any capable Mercedes programmer can do it.
