The new gen2 Audi BCM2 adapter is the updated version of Gen1. It is an improved version that supports reading all BCM2 versions, regardless of hardware version. It also supports cloning BCM2s with the same hardware version. It can read full Dflash and Pflash data. Gen1 adapter cannot do BCM2 cloning.
