Here is an example of Toyota Levin R7F701441 Denso cluster mileage correction.
Tools required:
OBDSTAR OdoMaster or G3
High power DC power supply
Instructions:
Remove cluster from vehicle.
Go to Toyota- Levin- R7F701441 Denso-Bench mode. (Also supports OBD mode, here we do it on bench.)
Read instructions and connections.
Some models also require 30 pin connector, i.e Lexus NX350.
R7F701442 Denso cluster is not supported yet.
Check bench pinout.
Connect cluster with Odomaster via P004 adapter. Don’t forget to connect with an external power supply.
Read cluster information.
The original mileage is the same as displayed in the cluster dashboard.
Take a screenshot of the original mileage value.
Read eeprom R7F701441 and save.
Start mileage correction.
Read ECU info.
Read the current mileage
If the read mileage differs from the mileage displayed on the dashboard by about 1.6 times, it means that the dashboard of the vehicle is configured in miles. When repairing the dashboard, divide the mileage to be repaired by 1.609433 to repair it.
Enter new mileage you desire to change.
Follow Odomaster prompts to turn on ignition on or off on P004 adapter every time.
Write mileage in process.
Check new mileage. It is the same as the new mileage data on cluster dashboard.
Mileage correction is completed.
Reinstall the cluster back to vehicle.
