Pros: I bought this transparent enclosure based on good reviews and don’t know what to expect. It works like a charm and I did not have any problem opening the case, although -being a polymer scientist – I take great care to open and close the case. My only suggestion is if you order and receive this enclosure during winter then keep it at room temperature before U open the case. The USB 3 cable is included so that’s a plus. The connection of cable to the enclosure is snug to my liking and I keep them connected to minimize loose connection in the future. It’s definitely a good buy for the price and performance

Cons: NONE , no problem opening the case

Pros: – Small
– Inexpensive
– Doesn’t require power

Cons: – Didn’t come with the hard drive. ?

Other Thoughts: I replace quite a few notebook hard drives with SSD’s. Then I take the old drive and put it into one of these enclosures and turn it into a backup drive for the client. I’ve done 3 or 4, and they’re great. I’m ordering two more for my office to use for supplemental everyday backups that will fit in the secretary’s purse.

Cons: A buyer MUST be very careful and patience in the process of opening the box..can be easily broken

Pros: Sturdy enough for normal use, transparent case lets you read drive specifics.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Would recommend.

Pros: Very good inexpensive case.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: I feel compelled to write this review primarily for those who are challenged in opening this case. Here is the secret to opening this case. For a right handed person: place the case in your left palm, finger tips at the top. Then put your right palm on top, also with finger tip at the top. (Picture hands in a prayer pose.) Then exert some pressure with your right hand and slide down, it will open amazingly easy….Promise. I believe another reviewer mentions a similar procedure. Helpful if you hands are not slippery.

Pros: – Works perfectly out of the box
– Haven’t had any issue with opening and installing the HDD like some reviews point out
– Feel like a quality product for a super cheap price (9.99 + free shipping)

Cons: – None for now

Other Thoughts: Was kinda worried that it would suck even if most reviews were 5 eggs, but I was not disappointed. Works great, fast usb 3.0 transfer and my 1TB HDD fits perfectly. I would by another one anytime!

Pros: The important things, it’s exactly what it says it is, and the price is great.
Less importantly, it looks very nice, and the reflection of the LEDs through the gloss clear plastic is really neat.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: I see other users have had issues opening the case. I did not find it that difficult but I do feel that it’s built to put a drive in, and leave it there. It helps to slightly squeeze the sides, and then apply pressure from the end, it opens right up.
As mentioned, I do love the way the lights shine through the case.
Uses quality 105c capacitors, leading me to believe the rest of the circuitry is quality. Soldering on the board is well done.
The cord length is good, I am using it as a semi-permanent drive enclosure attached to my router, any mounting or resting option I can think of would be easily accomplished with the supplied cord.
Is plug and play, I had to do nothing to have it working.
With my specific setup, I can transfer a file to an SSD and well used platter HDD 16-20mb/sec, streams and seeks video perfectly.

Pros: Works as advertised. Read/write speeds were acceptable.

Cons: Hardest part was getting it open. Royal pain in the backside. Not enough to remove an egg.

Other Thoughts: As mentioned in the Pro section, it works as advertised. Installed a Samsung 840 Pro 256GB in it. I will be using it as an additional portable storage unit. I could have gotten a USB flash drive with the same capacity, but the price of this enclosure along with having the SSD proved more economical. Besides, for me it would be harder to lose it.

Pros: – high speed read/write.
– good looking product.

Cons: – almost impossible to open the case, the cover is very tight to remove.
– I afraid I will break the case, because it is a clear plastic.

Other Thoughts: – I think I prefer the other Orico model, with same techinical specs, but easier to remove the cover.

Pros: Clear case makes identify drives very easy.

Cons: Case was very hard to open and I had to remove a small amount of plastic to make it easier.

Other Thoughts: I used this case with a 1TB hard drive on my SSD equipped Envy 13 as a second (D:) drive.
I have recommended it to friends.

Pros: Easy to use. Simple design. Looks nice. One cable design does not need extra cable for power. For its purpose it works.

Cons: Wish the cable was shorter but I’m not taking a star off for this because it’s my preference.

Other Thoughts: Will purchase again if I ever need another. Can’t go wrong with this product.

Pros: After I got it opened,,,,,,,, nice long cord, 22 inches, or as long as a cord you already have. Detachable cord, another brand I got had a fixed cord on one end, not good. I am not an expert but the read write from my old blue 500 hdd is alot FASTER.

Cons: My complaint that almost made me throw this thing out, It came STUCK ! together, It took many ingenious ways to finally open it. Ingenious only because one worked. Get your hands wet, then mostly dry, and Then squeeze those thumbs and fingers, back and forth, moaning, ” Come On Baby ! ”

Other Thoughts: I like being able to see the inside, I have some usb Flashes that are also see thru. Show them to people and get a lot of ahhhs,,,,, I am worried about heat build up, so I leave it open about a quarter inch, time will tell
