Problem:
Tried to add a 2023 VW MQB49 5C key with Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus. It failed to read original key data. It says error CLK not connected.
Every thing is soldering 100%. Same happens with solder free adapter. Where is the problem?
Solution:
Don’t go by the colors check the labels on the wires.
Check the CLK connection.
The CLK corresponds to pin 24 of the chip.
At this point, we need to apply key repair techniques.
Use a microscope to inspect the chip, then polish the cracked pin.
Reconnect the wire properly or connect a needle if use 5C/5D solder free adapter (Use a needle to hold down this pin.).
After that, key tool plus will read the original key data.
