The KD-MAX will also receive this upgrade.
Requirement:
- The new app to be released on October 30 will add this feature. Ensure you update both the app and device firmware before use.
- If the original car key uses a J29D5C chip (UWB), you can write original UWB J29D5C chip key only.
- Requires BMW G/FEM function activation (5000 KD coins or 100USD to activate the license).
- Each key copy will deduct 180 points.
What’s the difference between BMW U Chassis BCP key with UWB and without UWB function?
A BMW BCP key with Ultra-Wideband (UWB) offers Digital Key Plus convenience, allowing you to unlock, lock, and start the car by simply approaching it with your phone in your pocket. A BCP key without UWB uses a standard Digital Key that requires you to hold your phone up to the door handle to unlock the car and place it in the wireless charging tray to start the engine. UWB provides enhanced security and a more seamless “keyless” experience, while the standard Digital Key relies on Near Field Communication (NFC) and is less automated.

Key differences
Automation: UWB allows for passive entry, so the car unlocks and locks automatically as you get close or walk away. Without UWB, you must actively use your phone like a traditional key fob by holding it near the handle.
Interaction: With the UWB Digital Key Plus, you don’t need to take your phone out of your pocket or bag to operate the car. For the standard digital key, you must place your phone on the designated charging tray to start the engine.
Security: UWB provides higher security because it can precisely measure the distance and direction of the key, which prevents relay attacks where signals are captured and relayed to trick the car into unlocking.
Technology: Standard Digital Key uses NFC for close-range communication, while Digital Key Plus uses the more advanced UWB technology
How to identify a BCP key with or without UWB function?
Disassemble the key shell, check the code marked red picture.
For BMW U keys with UWB functionality, the code here is CA, while for those without UWB functionality, the code here is CG.
The Keydiy KD FGB-57 remote works very stable to copy a U chassis BCP key (code CG without UWB).
If the BCP key is CA with UWB, use original BCP key with UWB only.
