Tutorial: How to set up and connect Topdon Rlink device with Toyota Techstream diagnostic software.
Compatible devices:
Topdon Rlink Lite/Rlink X7/Rlink J2534 with Toyota License
Procedure:
Download and install Rlink Platform driver from Topdon official website (CHECK HERE).
Connect Rlink device with laptop and vehicle.
Run Rlink Platform driver.
If the connection is normal, it will display that both the vehicle and the device are connected.
Click Driver Management– Driver Info.
Check whether the Mitsubishi driver is downloaded.
If not, click the corresponding driver to download it.
The driver has been downloaded.
Read driver description.
When using Rlink devices, select Rlink as the diagnostic interface in the OEM software. If connecting to the OEM VCI or 3rd party VCI, open OEM software and directly select the OEM VCI or 3rd party VCI as the diagnostic interface.
Close Topdon Platform driver.
Double click the software icon to open the Toyota Techstream software.
Click Setup and click VIM Select. Then choose Rlink driver mode from the interface setup drop-down list and click OK.
Click Connect to vehicle to start vehicle diagnostics.
