Xhorse CAS3 Adapter vs Yanhua ACDP CAS3 Adapter

Question:

Is it safe to read CAS3 module using CAS3 solder free adapter? Xhorse and Yanhua ACDP CAS3 adapter, which is better?

Here is the clue.

Xhorse CAS3 adapter (XDNP11)

It takes time to align.

The CAS3 solderless adapter can be tricky sometimes and some have hard time reading. You need to make sure you clean the coating off all the contact points really good.

Sometimes you will get chip crack failed error.

If you have an error chip crack failed with xhorse CAS3 adapter, remove clear coat from solder points, and it reads fine.  Just scrap it with a needle etc. Be careful.

Always use servisol PCB cleaner on boards, leave for 10ins, brush with semi firm brush, then spray again and brush.

Yanhua Mini ACDP CAS3 Adapter:

For CAS many users recommend Yanhua ACDP. Autohex is more complicated than it needs to be. ACDP adapters do pin connection checks which we quite like.

We use the acdp boards. It checks all pins contact before it ever start decryption, so if you get connection issues during flash read then that’s a user thing or workspace error.

We would honestly say ACDP is the best though.

There will be a few times when ACDP will tell you to write back. Do what it says to do. Generally you do not write it back.

In sum:

Reading is ok with these CAS3 solderless adapters.  Don’t write it back. That where most mistakes happen.

The best method will remain welding.

FYI:

Autel, vvdi key tool plus, vvdi2, ACDP, cgdi etc all are capable of repairing flash if corrupt.
