Tutorial: Hyundai/Kia Continental SIM2K-241 ecu IMMO OFF using Xhorse Multi Prog programmer without other tools.
Some other tools i.e Foxflash, FC200, OBDSTAR DC706 will read and write SIM2K-241 ECU in boot mode without problem, but cannot do IMMO OFF within the device.
Multi prog will do. It also does SIM2K-140 and SIM2K-341 IMMO OFF within software.
Procedure:
Model example: Hyundai Elantra Continental SIM2K-241 ECU
Run multi prog software, select model and ECU.
Check boot mode wiring diagram.
Follow diagram to connect P1, P2 and P3 boot pins. Connect multi prog with ecu via mcu adapter.
Read and save INT eeprom data.
Read and save INT flash data.
Go to Tool tab- Turn off the immo (IMMO OFF) function.
Select Hyundai- Other (SIM2K). There is no SIM2K-241 option, but select SIM2K-341 30134-2G810 instead.
Ensure your tool supports your specific firmware version.
Load int eeprom just saved.
Hit Turn off the immo and press OK to generate immo off file.
Save immo off file.
Load immo off file and write data to ecu.
IMMO OFF completed.
