Problem:
I’m using Autel JVCI+ and Techline Connect SPS2 to program a new proximity key for a 2022 Silverado after the customer lost theirs. However, as soon as I start the programming process, I encounter a communication error. It kicked the ignition on, but then it gave me a communication error. I closed SPS, restarted everything, and the issue persisted.
Possible Solutions:
Battery Disconnect and Reboot:
We had another customer experienced the same issue with a 2023 Silverado. He resolved it by unplugging the computer, disconnecting the vehicle’s battery, and rebooting the computer. After reconnecting everything, it worked.
Disconnect the battery for at least 10 minutes and try again.
Feedback:
Finally, it worked! Disconnected both the battery and VCI, everything started functioning correctly.
