Some users update JLR SDD software version from 164 to 165. V165 network icon is always red and no longer connect to server even if the internet connection tells it is correct!
V165 or even V164 cannot get online to download any asbuilt or calibration files using the current patches available.

Please note that as per Topix , JLR as of 01-Sep-2024 changed the server security so no versions of SDD prior to 165.00 will download calibration files.
Our customers have spent some time doing multiple troubleshooting, the issue appears to be isolated to Windows 7 , we suspect JLR have hardened their webservers to not support the legacy encryption algorythms supported in windows 7.
clean win 7. install sdd 165 – no connectivity
clean win 10. install sdd 165, patch with v164 patch – downloads working.

I can confirm, 165 with the 2 patches from 164…..Red Wi-Fi Icon but Downloads working 100%. Download is working but not for all module.
