Here comes the problem:
Range rover sport 494, 2015 all keys lost in UK.
Car purchased at auction, stolen and recovered. Have done key by Lonsdor K518 Pro via obd, tried every position available says key was generated successfully but the vehicle has no response and shows wrong key message in dash when place key to sensing area. Remote does not work, car does not start. Used lonsdor id change jlr key and autel ikey.
RFA was scanned with JLR SDD software, and it shows no faults.
Here is the clue. Hope it helps.
Lonsdor K518 pro works fine on these Land rover models. In this case, BCM is the main issue.
It is an auction car. They would have used a brute force OBD tool that programs and emergency start transponder PCF7953 and now BCM is corrupt.
So you program keys to KVM, buts it’s irrelevant cause BCM has the main issue.
Furthermore, the remote won’t work and the emergency start won’t work because you’ve emulate a key ID via the KVM only.
BCM is corrupt. Nothing to do with KVM.
But you’ll need to relearn both with SDD. (SDD only allows to program a new module.)
Try to program RFA/KVM Module.
We used Autel Ultra to program RFA/KVM before.
Virgin KVM.
Use SDD to replace BCM. It’ll reflash existing BCM.
Then new KVM and keys.
Keep re-running the “replace BCM” process. You’ll get further and further each time. Then run “immobilisation”. Then “replace RFA”. You’ll get it all eventually.
Another guy had the same issue on a 2018 Plate Discovery Sport. Used an Xhorse key and wrote the key twice then it worked. Xhorse keys are more stable.
