In sum:Topdon Phoenix Smart has larger storage and battery capacity.

Topdon Phoenix Smart supports more online programming car brands, Pro5 only does BMW and Mercedes online programming. To program more models you need PAD V/PAD VII.

Pro5 smartlink enables dual mode diagnosis, it also supports super remote diagnostics and have optional online database (need purchase). Topdon does not.

Pro5 also has more special functions and more add-on modules (TPMS, Immo software etc).

Both support full system diagnostic, ecu coding and FCA autoauth. Both have J2534 VCI for OEM programming.

Pro5 software subscription is cheaper than Topdon. The price of the device is also much cheaper than Phoenix Smart.

If you need to program more car brands, go for Topdon. Launch is the more established brand but TopDon is growing fast.  Better option will be a Launch X431 PAD VII.
If your budget is limited, go for the Pro5.
