Launch CRP919X/CRP919E can do the same stuff including coding for Porsche (see previous post). Here is a 2023 Porsche Boxster S.
Why need to code?
Hate that I can’t default the Auto Stop/Start to off (like in 2018 Macan) and hate that every time I get in the car, the climate settings go back to what I stored on the key (unlike my 2018 Macan). I bought the Launch CRP919X for $379 on obdii365.com.
It was super easy and I was very nervous about bricking my new car. Everything worked as described. Here’s my step by step instructions with photos to change the default for saving climate settings:
Steps:
If you hit the arrow back in the upper left corner, you see the Diagnostic Trouble Code screen:
Scroll down until you see Air Conditioning and select it by pressing the right arrow on the right edge:
On the next screen, select Code/Brush Hiding:
On the next screen, select Brush Hidden/Modified:
On the next screen, select Memory Concept:
On the next screen, select Memory concept-Package Options:
On the next screen, you will see the current setting. Click on Comfort Memory under Coding Value.
I missed taking a picture of this screen, I selected Driver Memory and then hit Write Code.
Got this message that the Coding was a Success!
