OBDSTAR P50 airbag reset tool released new BMS software V30.06 in June 2023. New software version adds Audi Q5, A6, A8 hybrid battery module repair (erase BMS crash history) function.

- Engine don’t start.
- Hybrid system is locked.
Possible Causes
- Crash Signal activated (i.e. Accident with Airbag Deployment)
Fault Code
- 14806 – Crash Shut-Down Activated
- P1609 00 [039] – –
No need to replace the battery. P50 will erase crash data on bench.
Keep obdstar P50 in charge throughout the process. Network is required during the process.
Select Airbag Reset->Battery Reset->V30.06->8R0915223 D76F0192
Check your BMS part number, here it is 8R0.915.233
Press Power button on P004 adapter, read ECU information and confirm
Check Pinout.
You can take a screenshot of the pinout. Connect P004 adapter with Battery module via jumper cable.
Read DTC. There is a crash fault code P1909 detected.
Go to Advanced function, read and save eeprom.
Erase crash
Erase battery crash completed.
Erase DTC.
Check if crash fault code was erased.
