Here is the guide on Mercedes Benz W164 ML 2007 all keys lost programming guide using Autel MaxiIM IM608 & Gbox2. The procedure can be applied to W164 2006-2008.
Device required:
Autel IM608/IM508 with XP400 or XP400Pro
new BE key to be programmed (Xhorse BE key)
Procedure:
1. Create an emergency key
Decode door lock with Lishi HU64 auto pick
Write download butting
Then we cut key with xhorse dolphin xp005 key cutting machine
In Xhorse app, select Cut by Bitting – HU64
Cut key blade with Dolphin XP005
Usually with a 1.5 mm cutter but actually it is a 2.0mm here.
2. Remove EIS
Remove EIS under the instrument cluster
3. Calculate Password
In IM608 go to Mercedes Benz- Mercedes- M/ML/GLE- 2006 to 2008 and confirm
Select Control Unit function- All keys lost (Fast)- On bench (G box Fast)- W164/-2008 –
IM608 will show you connection diagram with gbox
You have to complete the following procedure to program key
1). Read EIS data
Insert the blank key into the IR keyhole on the programmer and press OK
Calculate password
Successfully calculate password after 20 minutes
* If you have difficulty calculating password, hold the key simulator in the direction to ignition on.
4. Write Key
Generate key file
insert the blank key into the IR keyhole on the xp400 programmer and press OK to write BE key file
All keys lost programming completed
Insert the new key into EIS, if the red indication lamp on the key lights up and goes off, the key learning is successful
If the red indicator lap stays lit, try inserting and removing the key several times.
Install EIS back to the vehicle
Test new BE key, the key can start the vehicle.
