Module: steering column module (MRM)
Symptom: steering angle sensor malfunction, instrument indicator turns on
Fault code: Autel Maxisys diagnostic scanner read out fault code C220500 (There is an internal fault in the steering angle sensor)
Device to repair: CG Pro 9S12 programmer
Repair steering column module is cheaper than replace a new module.
Procedure:
Turn off ignition switch.
Remove and disassemble module MRM.
Locate IC chip. Pay attention to the timing mark location.
Open CG Pro software
Select Type->Other->Mercedes->V260 MRM
Check wiring diagram
Connect CGPro & DB25 adapter with MRM IC chip follow the diagram
Read data
Save data
Open the new MRM or fixed MRM data
Write new data to MRM
Write data succeed
Clear existing fault code.
Install steering column module to original state.
Done.
